The Hotel Kapitány**** Wellness was built directly at the foot of
castle in medieval setting in Sümeg. The beautiful and calm environment around the
building provides excellent opportunity of getting away from the everyday rush
and helps flying back in time, so our guests can inspect the atmosphere of the
middle-ages. The Hotel has 75
four-star-rooms, several family apartments and suites. The air-conditioned rooms
and suites are all equipped with elegant bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, TV,
internet connection, mini-bar and bathrobe.
Turkish
bath and Wellness The Kaplidja-Bath in oriental atmosphere is at service with
swimming pool, wellness pool (also outdoor pool from May to October), children’s
pool, Jacuzzi, infra sauna, Finnish sauna, soft sauna, steam bath and cold water
pool for our guests. Modern cardio- and fitness equipments are waiting for the
lovers of the active holidays. The
winter-garden of
Restaurant St.
László Knight-King is built
specially for buffet breakfast and dinner; the other rooms of the restaurant
with the atmosphere of the Middle Ages are used for a’la cart in the daytime and evenings. On the menu the guest can find not only the
masterpieces of international cuisine, but the specialties of dietary and
wellness menus. The
Várcsárda is also situated
at the foot of the castle of
Sümeg and directly in the neighborhood of the hotel. It fits well to the historical
atmosphere with its old Hungarian character and
cuisine. Together with
the Knight
Room,
(available for
400 persons to sit at tables) – under the building of Várcsárda - they are ideal place for conferences, weddings
and similar
large-scale events, complemented with Medieval Tournament and Feat
or other
programmes from the middle ages. Historical
equestrian games - Medieval feast The
main elements of the programmes are based on the known
medieval knightly tournaments. like the demonstration
of the arm usage skills, the footmen and horsemen fight is equally part of
performance. Dance and horse show
(archery, passage of
arms, carousel show with Arabian horses) make the historical program more
colorful. Our
guest before the program can visit the Castle of
Sümeg,
Stable, as
well the International
Weapon Exhibition, the
Spring Carriage
Exhibition,
and
Animal Patting.
In July and
August there are daily three Knight Play’s
performances
in the Castle of
Sümeg. The
program is accompanied by a Medieval Feast.
In accordance with the times the meal is eaten with one’s hands, without
cutlery, making it a memorable experience… Before the
feast the guest wash their hands in lemon water. The sounds of Gypsy music fill
the hall during the dinner, while pages and ladies-in-waiting serve the
guests.
